Smart folks with lives probably aren't immersing themselves in the controversy of whether Christopher Nolan's forthcoming film The Odyssey ignores history and authenticity while carefully dosing in the correct amount of wokeness in scripting and casting.

Cutting through the noise and, if you listen, elucidating the absurdity, is this take: "You haven't experienced the Odyssey until you've read it in the original Klingon."

Well yes, I did watch Vision Quest (198541ya) last night. The star of film is the song Lunatic Fringe (198145ya) by Red Rider. A splendid treat of rock guitar goodness full of synth embellished hooks and general deliciousness.

Forgot about Madonna singing in the film, and is that Forrest Whitaker?

Red Rider's frontman Tom Cochrane had a hit 10 years later with Life is a Highway, 199135ya, but I think that's about it for Red Rider.
